Refund/cancellation policy
Memorial University of Newfoundland Outdoor Adventure Society (MUNOAS) Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. General Overview
The Memorial University of Newfoundland Outdoor Adventure Society (MUNOAS) is a not-for-profit student-run organization. Due to this structure, we are unable to offer flexible refunds beyond what is outlined in this policy. Please read our refund and cancellation terms carefully before making any purchase.
2. Ticket Refunds for Events
Refunds for event tickets are only available under the following conditions:

Timeframe: Refund requests must be made within 24 hours of purchasing the ticket.

Event Proximity: Refunds will not be issued if the request is made less than 48 hours before the event is scheduled to take place.
No refunds will be processed for requests made after these periods, regardless of the reason.
3. Merchandise Refunds
Refunds for merchandise (including gear or promotional items) are subject to the following conditions:

Timeframe: Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of the purchase.

Merchandise must be unused and in original condition for the refund to be processed.
After 24 hours, all merchandise sales are final, and no refunds will be provided.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
MUNOAS will not provide refunds or accept cancellations under the following circumstances:

Requests submitted beyond the 24-hour purchase window for tickets or merchandise.

Event cancellation requests made less than 48 hours prior to the event.

Inability to attend an event due to personal reasons, including but not limited to illness, travel complications, or schedule conflicts.

Weather-related cancellations where the event proceeds as planned.
5. Event Cancellations by MUNOAS
In the event that MUNOAS must cancel an event for reasons beyond our control, such as severe weather or other extenuating circumstances:

Attendees will be notified as soon as possible.

Full refunds will be provided to all ticket holders in the event of cancellation by MUNOAS.
6. Refund Process

To request a refund, please contact us at adventure.mun@gmail.com with your full name, proof of purchase, and reason for refund within the applicable timeframe.

Refunds will be processed within 7 business days after approval.

Refunds may or may not be issued through the original method of payment. MUNOAS reserve the right to choose the method of repayment for refunds.
7. Amendments to the Policy
MUNOAS reserves the right to amend this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to members and ticket purchasers before they take effect.
